A custom Össur CTi knee brace provides the ultimate combination of stabilization and protection of the knee joint. This truly custom made brace uses Accutrac hinges with extension stops to glide with the knee and breathable liners coated with bio-inert Sensil silicone to reduce migration and skin irritation. Reversible field-serviceable buckles and trimmable straps facilitate fast adjustments and a customized fit. - Unfasten all straps from the outer side of the brace
- With the knee bent approximately 90 degrees, place the brace over your knee so your knee cap is centered between the brace hinges
- Beginning with the strap just below the knee (upper calf strap), fasten the strap snugly above the calf muscle, this will help prevent the brace from sliding
- Next, fasten the bottom strap (lower calf strap)
- Continue with the strap just above the knee (lower thigh strap)
- Followed by the top strap (upper thigh strap)
- All straps can be trimmed or adjusted to length, don’t over tightening the two top straps this can cause the brace to migrate
Maintenance Instructions
- use a damp cloth to wipe the brace of any dirt and debris
- brace can be hand washed with water and/or mild soap, do not use washing machine or dryer
- rinse the brace well with cold water to remove any soap
- let brace air dry
- pads and liners can be removed, just remember which pads go where, it helps to take a picture prior to disassembling
- brace should be cleaned regularly based on type of activity & amount of sweat
- let brace air dry after heavy use (don’t leave it in closed bags)
